Job Summary/Basic Function:
The Klingenstein Center is seeking an interim instructional assistant to help the center's executive director manage the course load and center administration. The Interim Instructional Assistant will be performing a combination of academic program-related research and administrative tasks to ensure the continuous support of all cross-functional team members and programs within the center.

Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Conducting research.
  • Performing data analysis.
  • Handling project management tasks.
  • Scheduling meetings.
  • Managing correspondence, including the center's email account.
  • Serving as the liaison for the Canvas learning system.
  • Front office reception and general office management.
  • Providing support for special events and projects.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Ability to handle and protect confidential and sensitive data with integrity
  • Must be able to analyze data, and prepare reports
  • Ability to learn new software and research techniques as needed
  • Ability to think critically and propose innovative ideas
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office & Google Workspace
  • Strong interpersonal, collaborative, presentation, and communication skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, including detail orientation, multi-tasking, and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to complete assigned projects with minimal supervision

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience as an administrative assistant.
  • Prior experience with supporting complex operations and staff members at an academic and research center.
  • Prior experience with academic and/or student program support
  • Ability to be proactive, to anticipate and take the initiative to fulfill Center needs

Salary Range:

$18.00 - $18.00
