The Associate Director of Design Education’s responsibility is to manage operations for the DFI Gallery and Design Studio. The ideal candidate has an in-depth understanding of visual identity, fostering creativity, and promoting artistic excellence, in addition to ensuring the maintenance of assets and equipment. The candidate must be able to work closely with faculty, students, and administrators to assess the viability of projects and programming within the DFI gallery and design studio. This position requires strong project management skills, technical knowledge of design studio equipment and technology, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities at once.

Lecturer in New York
The Program in International and Comparative Education (ICEd) at Teachers College, Columbia University, is seeking a full-time lecturer with a special focus on Families, Communities and Schools. This is a one-year academic appointment (paid over 12 months) with the possibility of renewal for up to three years. The lecturer will teach five courses, provide academic advisement to M.A. students in the ICEd program, carry out program-related work, and be expected to contribute to the overall operations of the program. The candidate will help the program to broaden the notion of education by addressing opportunities and challenges of education in and out of school and across other educational sites (families, communities, (social) media, museum, non-governmental organizations, etc. Applicants should submit a curriculum vitae, names of three professional references (full letters will be requested for shortlisted candidates), and a letter of interest with details regarding how the applicant meets the criteria for the position. These logistics include processes for student teachers entering placements as well as requirements for New York State teacher certification. This individual will play a key team role within the Office of Teacher Education and will work closely with staff across the office.

The Program Manager, in conjunction with faculty members who serve as Program Directors, is responsible for the administrative management of the programs in Education Policy, Politics and Education, and History and Education. This entails continuous communication with the Program Directors and involvement in all aspects of the program including admissions, marketing, recruiting, academic advising, faculty hiring, program management, and financial oversight. This position reports to the Director of Academic Administration.
