The Department of Curriculum and Teaching is seeking to hire a full-time Lecturer in the area of early childhood/elementary curriculum and literacy, with emphasis on PK-2 contexts. This is a nine-month position (non-tenure track) with possibility for renewal and for summer teaching. We seek a colleague committed to critical perspectives in curriculum, literacy, and teacher education. Responsibilities include teaching five graduate courses per academic year, supporting administrative tasks in several programs, advising students, and supervising preservice teachers in classroom settings.

Lecturer in New York
The Program in International and Comparative Education (ICEd) at Teachers College, Columbia University, is seeking a full-time lecturer with a special focus on Families, Communities and Schools. This is a one-year academic appointment (paid over 12 months) with the possibility of renewal for up to three years. The lecturer will teach five courses, provide academic advisement to M.A. students in the ICEd program, carry out program-related work, and be expected to contribute to the overall operations of the program. The candidate will help the program to broaden the notion of education by addressing opportunities and challenges of education in and out of school and across other educational sites (families, communities, (social) media, museum, non-governmental organizations, etc. Applicants should submit a curriculum vitae, names of three professional references (full letters will be requested for shortlisted candidates), and a letter of interest with details regarding how the applicant meets the criteria for the position.
