Posting Summary:
The Director of Strategic Partnerships is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join the TC Team @ TCCS as a Strategic Partnership Administrative Assistant. The Administrative Assistant will gain hands-on experience by contributing to advanced-level administrative work for the TC Team at TCCS, the Zankel and Milman Fellowship programs, and community partnership projects.

Job Summary/Basic Function:
Program & Fellowship Coordination:
● Collaborate with the Office of Teacher Education to ensure fingerprinting requirements are completed for all fellows and members of the TC Team at TCCS. Responsibilities include verifying that students are cleared in the system, and reminding them to submit reimbursement receipts within 30 days of fingerprinting.
● Assist with the Zankel and Milman Fellowship programs.

Administrative & Office Operations Support:
● Manage the schedule of the Director of Strategic Partnerships.
● Manage the TC office by ordering supplies, making or assisting with copies for the TC Team at TCCS and providing support with any administrative questions as needed.

Communications & Content Management:
● Gather information and prepare draft weekly updates for the TC Team at TCCS.
● Assist in keeping the TCCS website updated and relevant.
● Organize and manage photos taken at TCCS.

Marketing, Events & Collaborative Projects:
● Collaborate with the TC Team at TCCS Social Media Assistant and the Professional Development Assistant on assigned projects.
● Assist in creating flyers, presentations, and invitations for events such as open houses.

Other Duties as Assigned

NOTE:
This position requires a commitment of 21 hours/week.

Minimum Qualifications:
● Must be able to commit to work the required minimum number of hours.
● Demonstrated ability to take initiative, work resourcefully, and proactively seek clarification or ask questions to ensure successful completion of tasks and projects.
● Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently. Candidates should also demonstrate familiarity with early childhood education in American public schools, particularly within New York City public schools.
● Demonstrated passion for working with children between the ages of PreK through graduate school.
● The incumbent will work independently on most projects and will meet regularly with the Director of Strategic Partnerships to discuss progress on assigned responsibilities.
● The incumbent may have access to sensitive information and is expected to exercise discretion at all times. Such information should only be discussed with appropriate TCCS staff and or the Director of Strategic Partnerships.
● The incumbent represents Teachers College and the Vice Dean for Teacher Education and School & Community Partnerships.

Salary Range:

$27 - $27
