Job Summary/Basic Function:
The Department of Counseling and Clinical Psychology at Teachers College, Columbia University is actively seeking Adjunct Assistant instructors to teach graduate level psychology courses.

Typical duties include but aren’t limited to:
• Teaching graduate students in the Department of Counseling and Clinical Psychology
• Developing and managing the class syllabus and ensuring that the syllabus meets department and college standards (per the needs of the department)
• Planning and creating lectures, in-class discussions and assignments
• Grading assigned papers, quizzes and exams
• Assessing grades for students based on participation, performance in class, assignments and examinations
• Collaborating with colleagues on course curriculum

Minimum Qualifications:
Candidates must have a doctoral degree in counseling or clinical psychology from an APA-accredited program.

Preferred Qualifications:
Ideal candidates will be enthusiastic about contributing to graduate training and will have active professional lives in research, academia, and/or clinical service related to the courses they would like to teach.

Salary Range:

$6000-$6000
