Teachers College is seeking a qualified applicant to support the Office of Institutional Research's survey and assessment functions.
Job Summary/Basic Function:
Reporting to the Director of Institutional Research the Assessment Analyst will work as a member of the Institutional Studies team in support of the College's efforts to use data in strategic decision-making around academic and enrollment planning
CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Survey Support
- Support strategic survey development, coordination, and analysis
- Assist in providing technical support for campus surveys
Course Evaluation Support
- Support course evaluation execution and analysis
- Assist in communications with faculty and departments to confirm data accuracy and coordinate distribution of results
Data Analysis and Reporting
- Conduct analyses of data (current and historical) to inform academic and enrollment planning in a strategic fashion
- Develop and execute reports from data systems
- Support data analysis relative to the assessment and accreditation of the College and its programs
- Create presentations of data that maximize understanding for those who are not necessarily data-driven, with an emphasis on graphics and visualization tools, services, and systems
- Other duties as assigned (may have a role in building and maintaining institutional data website)
Minimum Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree required
- Experience in research design, data analysis, and report preparation.
- Demonstrated proficiency in computer applications, including databases, spreadsheets, presentation, data visualization, and statistical software.
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment with the capacity for self-direction, critical thinking, and innovation
- Excellent verbal, written, and visual design communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Graduate degree in the social sciences, statistics, data science, assessment, measurement, or related field preferred
- Experience with Educational Settings preferred
- Proficiency with Qualtrics preferred
- Proficiency with Tableau preferred
- Proficiency with a data manipulation/integration software like R or Tableau Prep preferred
Salary Range:
$77,000 - $83,000
