Induction Coordinator New York
The Teaching Residents at Teachers College (TR@TC2) program is an 18-month graduate level program that has been designed to support pre-service teachers who aim to work in New York City, high-need schools. Completion of the program leads to an M.A. and teacher certification in one of three areas, Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL), Teaching Students with Disabilities (TSWD) 7-12, and Science Education -- Biology 7-12. Our TR@TC2 team seeks an experienced teacher educator to fill the role of Induction Coordinator, who is interested in enthusiastically supporting the growth and development of new teachers.
Research Data Librarian New York
The Community College Research Center (CCRC) at Teachers College, Columbia University, is accepting applications for the position of Research Data Librarian, who will assist CCRC research teams by managing data on the Center’s Linux-based servers. CCRC is the leading independent authority on two-year colleges in the United States. We conduct research on issues affecting community colleges and work with colleges and states to improve student success and institutional performance. This is a full-time position based in New York City. CCRC currently has over 20 ongoing projects using administrative and survey data stored on Linux-based servers. The ideal candidate will work with project leaders to collect, clean, catalog, and document data used in Center research, and to develop policies and procedures for governing these activities. The candidate will be responsible for helping to develop and manage data sharing agreements with partner colleges and state agencies. The candidate will also serve as a system administrator for CCRC’s servers, conducting routine maintenance and working with IT consultants and server providers to carry out more in-depth maintenance and system upgrades.

Post-Doctoral Research Scientist in Neurocognition of Language Lab New York
Teachers College, Columbia University has an opening for a post-doctoral fellow/research scientist. The successful candidate will work as part of a team in the Neurocognition of Language Lab directed by Dr. Karen Froud. Dr. Karen Froud http://www.tc.edu/neurocog). The lab conducts brain imaging research into speech and language processing across the lifespan in typical, multilingual and disordered populations, with the aim of elucidating underlying processes that can be used to improve pedagogical and clinical practices. We use high-density EEG on-site and collaborate with partners to conduct multi-modal brain imaging studies using (f)MRI, tDCS, and MEG. The successful candidate for this position will work on a project evaluating the efficacy of a literacy intervention program for school children diagnosed with dyslexia and related reading disorders: System 44™. We will be using brain activation as an outcome measure to evaluate changes in literacy across a school year. The candidate will work with the publishers of System 44™, school district administrators, educators, and parents as well as with the research team.
