Communication Assistant New York
The Graduate Writing Center (GWC) offers a variety of writing services to the Teachers College community. During private consultations, students have the opportunity to focus on any aspect of their writing with one of our qualified consultants. The GWC also offers workshops throughout the year on topics that meet the wide-reaching needs of the Teachers College population. This work-study position will work with the Coordinators of the GWC and other communication assistants. Candidate must have availability between 12 pm and 7 pm Monday through Friday; some morning hours may be available depending upon programming.
Office Assistant New York
Insurance and Immunization (IIR) is an interdepartmental specialty area within the Office of Student Affairs (OSA). IIR handles University immunization compliance in accordance with the New York State Department of Health; additionally, Office of IIR protects students’ health and well-being by publicizing student insurance plans available (offered by Aetna Student Health) in addition to medical services/counseling and psychological services available through the University. This work-study position will report directly to the Director of Student Affairs and will work closely with others within other office assistants in IIR and OSA, collectively. Candidate must be available to work approximately 20 hours per week, with availability from 9 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday. Scheduling and availability by day may be negotiable with given notice (in consideration for class scheduling, etc.).
Administrative Fellow: New Student Orientation New York
Teachers College Student Affairs supports students through programs and services in a variety of areas including community engagement, service-learning, event planning and new student programs/Orientation. We strive to enhance the out-of-classroom experience for all currently enrolled students. Internships in the Office of Student Affairs are designed to provide hands-on learning experiences that will help develop valuable and transferable skills. Interns (Administrative Fellow [AF]) will work on a variety of projects designed to foster a new appreciation and understanding of the multitude of resources available to students at TC. The Orientation AF is responsible for initiating, organizing and managing programs specifically pertaining to newly admitted students. Programs are aimed to assist in easing their transition to the College by providing a welcoming, resourceful and purposeful programs and/or services.
